Thanks be to God for the provision to the Diocese of long-term missionaries, who have served the Diocese over the years.

Adam, Avril, Caleb and Anna Friend are missionaries with CMS (Church Mission Society) Australia. They are currently in Antananarivo learning Malagasy.

They are looking forward to being involved in Toliara in two main areas:

First, supporting the work of St Patrick’s Theological College, Adam teaching Biblical studies courses and Avril caring for students as a doctor, and discipling female students and the wives of students.

Second, at a Diocesan level, supporting Bishop Samitiana as he works to see all believers here grow as disciples of the Lord Jesus.

Jacky Lowe is a missionary with SAMS (Society of Anglican Missionaries and Senders). She came to live and work at the Women’s Center from 2018 to 2020, and hopes to return again in 2024.
