ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP

We are guided by the fundamental Biblical principle that we are stewards of God’s creation. Following the Anglican Communion’s 5 Marks of Mission, we strive to safeguard the integrity of creation, and sustain and renew the life of the earth. We are charged to responsibly use, protect and care for the sustainable management of our land, water and other resources of the earth.

Through a holistic approach of Biblical study, education and social and economic action, we promote programs that build awareness and sustainable daily life practices, that reforest our lands, that identify sustainable sources of water, and that develop the productive and sustainable use of our farm lands. Environmental stewardship touches every aspect of the mission of the Diocese of Toliara but this ministry is monitored by the development department.
