The Diocese of Toliara thanks all those who support them in prayer, through practical ways and by financial donations.

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Luke 6:38

During this time of Coronavirus, the needs for financial support are greater than ever.  The Diocese is still functioning, the Churches are still meeting as appropriate, the Clergy and Evangelists still need to be paid, as do the teachers in the schools even when the schools are closed.

Drought and famine still occur and rice prices are higher than normal as transportation costs have increased as military protection is needed for the drivers.

Please continue to donate and support the Diocese, as the Malagasy are currently less able to support their churches and schools.

The total running costs of the Diocese are in the region of $80,000 per year, which is much, much more than the members of the Diocese could raise even if everyone of them tithed. It needs outside help to fulfil its ministry. The Diocese of Toliara is currently the only Diocese in Madagascar which can afford to pay its priests, but to do so it needs your help. More details of the budget can be found here.

A little money can go a long way in Madagascar, as you can see from the list further down this page.

We suggest that, rather than designating a donation for a specific purpose, you leave it as un-designated so that it can be used in whatever way is most needed.  But if you are passionate about a particular cause, then please contact us to designate the specific use of your gift.
