We would like to express our gratitude to the many people who sponsor children’s education in the Diocese of Toliara. This program started in 2019 with five sponsored children, and we now have over 150 children supported through sponsorship and as many again through schools’ links – none of which would have happened without your support – THANK YOU!
In the USA, we have transitioned the administration of Toliara Child Sponsorship from SAMS to Education Equals Hope (e=h). This move in no way reflects on the service from SAMS. It’s simply that working with an education/sponsorship focused organization is much more appropriate as the number of sponsorships grows.
Our new partner Education Equals Hope’s mission is to provide for the education of students who are living in desperate and difficult situations. It currently serves over 1,800 students in 6 countries around the world – Costa Rica, Haiti, Ecuador, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda and now Madagascar.
Education Equals Hope believes that holistic education is a fundamental part of the equation that empowers children and communities around the globe to break the cycle of poverty and impact the next generation. They provide educational support for children, teens and adults and work to provide educational resources for entire communities in regions of our world that have suffered from poverty, crisis and natural disaster.
